The Bush administration wants to appoint a U.S. general as head of all U.N. peacekeeping operations.

And so, the long dead corpse that once was satire is again exhumed in order that a few more shots may be fired at its putrid remains.

Update

The point doesn't need laboured but that doesn't mean it won't be. According to the Guardian/ICM, 75% of Brits consider Dubya to be a great or moderate danger to peace. Only bin Laden, according to the poll, is less qualified to appoint the world's top peacekeeper.
